44th Ghent Open International Chess Tournament

Description

At the request of many participants in the Ghent Open to have the tournament count for Elo-treatment, the organization has decided to set up an additional tournament, a Fide-Rated tournament.

The players now have the choice, either they play as before in a tournament that does not count for Elo-treatment, or they participate in the new tournament, the Fide-Rated.

Tempo and schedule are identical for both tournaments, the prize money is not.

Timetable

Registration on 15.07.2023 from 11.00 u. till 13.00 u.. Each player who reserves a room should present himself in the tournament hall as well as in the student home before 13.00 h..

How to register for the tournament?

• Fill in the registration form on our registration website
• Pay the entree fee on our bank account IBAN BE48 7374 2629 4027 - BIC KREDBEBB with clear mentioning of the participant's name
• Payment on arrival in the tournament hall is also possible
• Registration on 15.07.23 from 11.00 till 13.00 h.

Additional conditions

Only a select number of (W)IGM's will be given free accommodation (breakfast included) in a student home. No further conditions will be granted.
